Mission Statement – Growing Passionate Followers of Jesus

We believe that our mission is to find and grow passionate followers of Jesus. We seek to do that through meaningful worship experiences, Biblical preaching, small groups and Sunday School classes that bring people together in Christian growth and fellowship.

We are excited about ministry to our community. One of our passions is to come alongside Edison School and be a friend and support to staff, teachers and students. We believe that God will open up other exciting ways to minister to Edison.

Our Core Values

Win – We seek to lead others into a transforming relationship with Christ, through evangelistic services, personal relationships, and a soul-winning intentionality in every ministry of the church.

Connect – We seek to help church members connect to each other in meaningful worship, discipleship, small groups and service to the world. We seek also to make connecting relationships with the unsaved to bring them into the church.

Disciple – We seek to disciple our believers into a passionate, growing relationship with Christ, through small groups, discipleship classes, and evangelism training.

Invest – We must invest our time, money and lives into others – saved and unsaved

Serve – We seek to serve our church, community, and world through helping believers to exercise their spiritual gifts, finding new ministries to minister to the needy, and developing work and witness teams to work at three levels: local, district, and general.

Our Guiding Principles:

A.                 Prayer – We believe that prayer is the foundational element of all of our ministries.

B.                  Worship – We believe that worship is the key area where our church family encounters God in transforming worship.

C.                 Bible Knowledge – We believe that our teaching, preaching, worship, and ministries must all be based upon the principle of God’s Word. We believe that all believers should be engaged in daily Bible reading, and should seek to constantly increase their ability to study the Scriptures.

D.                 Evangelism and Outreach – We believe that every ministry of the church should be focused on leading others to Christ. We also believe that we must reach outside our four walls to find and meet the needs of the lost.

E.                  Giving - We believe in storehouse tithing, and  compassionate giving.

F.                  Friendship Evangelism - We believe that the lost can be won as we develop intentional relationships.

G.                 Community - We believe that we experience Christian community through fellowship and study.

H.                 Holiness - We believe that God has called us to live lives of integrity and holiness.

I.                   Unleashed Laity – We seek to set the laity free for service - trained for excellence and set free to minister.
